About
I don't—unless I find a better way of doing something—like having to solve the same problem twice. To that end, I've accumulated a knowledge-base of notes, code samples, and instructions for solving the various problems I've encountered when trying to write or build something.
I've decided to put these online. I know from experience how grateful I am when I'm experiencing some bizarre issue and one person on Stack Overflow also had that issue and figured it out. The people who design technology are often too familiar with it to know how to explain it, or even what to explain, leaving anything beyond read-the-manual basics to arcane processes of divination that a lot of us would rather not have to deal with.
So here it all is. I hope it's helpful.
Note: This is not intended to be something like MDN, or any sort of formal documentation for the apps or technologies mentioned here, or a collection of tutorials. This is what it looks like: a wikified collection of scribbled notes along the lines of "When X app returns Y error, it's because such-and-such configuration wasn't set properly." This assumes you're familiar enough with those technologies to have encountered these problems.
I'll be adding more to this as I go along, but this isn't updated on any sort of regular schedule.
